ADB’s Country Director for Cambodia, Mr. Arjun Goswami and Senior Country Economist, Mr. Eric Sidgwick, on 31 March launched the Cambodia growth forecast of the Asian Development Outlook 2009 in a press briefing with the local media. Mr. Goswami introduced the overall picture of the 2009 outlook in Asia and the Pacific and Mr. Sidgwick discussed Cambodia’s economic performances in 2008 and the challenges in 2009, with a projected growth of 2.5% as a consequence of indirect impact of the global financial crisis.
